As if it isn’t obvious, Roger Bauer is a die hard Louisville Cardinals’ fan. He’s been a Louisville fan for as long as he can remember and grew up during an era where the Cards were THE program in basketball … the late seventies and early eighties.

Two National Championships in 6 years and four Final Fours in six years cemented Roger’s loyalty to the high flying, superior athletes that were frequently featured on national television before there was a four letter network or widespread cable.

Few remember that national TV used to mean NBC, CBS or ABC … not ESPN, ESPN 2, ESPN U, ESPN 3, Fox Sports, TNT, or Versus. Not Roger!

The Doctors of Dunk are Born

The “Doctors of Dunk,” who invented the “high five” and embarrassed opponents with their running and dunking, in your face style of basketball, resonated with Roger.  He still holds memories of those days as some of the highlights of life in a simpler time where people actually talked to one another on the phone or face-to-face instead of texting, instant messaging, chat, or email.
